EQUIPMENT

  • Rimmed baking sheet
  • Skillet
  • Cheese grater

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup ketchup optional
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard optional
  • 24 slider buns
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese freshly grated, see notes
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter melted
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  • Add the olive oil and diced onion to a large skillet and fry over medium-high heat, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes until the onion is softened and translucent.
1 Tablespoon olive oil, 1 medium onion
  • Add the ground beef and scramble fry until browned and drain off the fat.
    2 pounds lean ground beef
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, seasoned salt, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and remove from heat. If desired, you can also mix in ketchup and mustard.
1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce, 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • Cut the whole block of slider rolls in half, top and bottom, and place the bottom halves into the baking dish. Evenly spread all of the ground beef over the bottom half of the rolls. Then sprinkle the grated cheese over the beef and add the top halves of the buns.
24 slider buns, 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • Brush the tops of the buns with the melted butter and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
2 Tablespoons salted butter, 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

NOTES

  • How To Store & Reheat Leftovers: Store the leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You could also freeze them for up to 3 months. To reheat them, microwave the sliders on high for 35 seconds. For a crispier bun, you can reheat them in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 3 minutes.
  • Cheese Notes: We recommend using freshly grated cheese because it melts better, however, you can use pre-shredded or sliced American cheese if desired.
  • What Can I Use In Place of Seasoned Salt? Replacing the seasoned salt with a teaspoon of regular salt would be fine. If you’d rather, you could also make homemade seasoned salt. To do this, combine 1/4 teaspoon of each: onion powder, paprika, chili powder, and salt.
  • Can I Use Ground Turkey? Absolutely, that would be a delicious and easy variation to enjoy! No other adjustments need to be made in order to make the swap.
  • Can I use Minced Garlic Or Garlic Paste Instead of Powder? Yes, that swap works just fine. Just replace the powder with 1 1/2 tablespoons of minced garlic or 1 tablespoon of paste.
