Croissant Cookies are a viral cookie recipe that is storming TikTok! Baked Croissants are stuffed with cookie dough and baked again until ooey and gooey!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice each croissant lengthwise in half without slicing all the way through the croissant. Unfold the croissant so it lays flat and open.
Take 2 pieces of cookie dough and flatten it in your hands. Using ¾ of the 2 pieces of dough, carefully break apart pieces of the cookie dough and lay it inside the croissant. Once the croissant has an even layer of cookie dough across it, close the croissant and use the remaining ¼ piece of cookie dough and lay it flat on the top of the croissant.
Place 6 croissants on the baking sheet 3-4 inches apart. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the cookie dough is crispy on the edges and golden on top.
Remove from oven and allow the croissants to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Serve and enjoy!
NOTES
Store in an air tight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. I would not recommend freezing this recipe.
You can use large croissants instead of mini.
You can use different flavor cookie dough, like peanut butter or sugar cookie.
