Soft flour tortillas separate layers of taco meat that’s loaded with salsa, sweet corn, diced onion, and then topped with shredded cheese! Each slice of mouthwatering pie meets every need your tastebuds have when it comes to taco flavor!
Why This Recipe Works!
- Easy Prep! Simply fry up the meat mixture, layer it in the pan with tortillas, sprinkle on some cheese, and bake!
- A Tasty Freezer Meal! If you’re already making one, you might as well make two! Then pop the second one in the freezer for an even quicker meal another time!
- Choose The Meat! Swap the ground beef out for your choice of protein! Ground chicken, ground turkey, or shredded chicken are all great options!
- Vegetarian Option! Not a meat lover? No problem, you can still make this by using refried beans or canned beans!
- Taco Toppings! Yes, you still get to add all of your favorite taco toppings to your slice of pie!
Ingredient Notes
This scrumptious Taco Pie Recipe has a lot of the same ingredients you’d find in your favorite traditional tacos! To start, you’ll need ground beef and a diced onion.
From there, the two get fried up before adding garlic powder, taco seasoning, water, canned sweet corn, and salsa. After this mixture cooks, you’ll layer it between flour tortillas with shredded Mexican cheese.
Once this pie has been baked, you get to finish it off with all of the go-to taco toppings! We generally always use:
- Green Onions
- Chopped Tomatoes
- Cilantro
- Shredded Lettuce
- Sour Cream
How To Make Taco Pie
