How To Make These Festive Treats
Step One: In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Once fully melted, add the mini marshmallows, stirring constantly, until fully incorporated and melted. Once melted, immediately take off the heat. Stir in vanilla extract until combined, then fold in the Rice Krispies.

Step Two: Spray 2 9-inch pie pans with cooking spray, and place half of the Rice Krispies mixtures into each pie pan. Gently press down evenly so the Rice Krispies are equally thick all the way across. You can press with the bottom of a cup or with your hands. Place both pie pans in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour to rest.

Step Three: After the Rice Krispies have rested, prepare your area with a layer of parchment paper to avoid any sticking. Gently dump the pie pans out on the parchment surface to keep their circular shape. Using a sharp knife, slice the Rice Krispies into even slices in the same way you would cut a pizza or a circular cake. There should be 6 pieces per Rice Krispies treat, and 12 slices total.

Step Four: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the yellow candy melts in 30-second increments until fully melted, stirring in between. Repeat with orange candy melts.
Step Five: Dip the pointed end of each Rice Krispies Treat into the yellow candy melts, allowing any excess to drip off. If necessary, use a fork to stop the drip. Turn the Rice Krispies Treat around and dip the longer end of the triangle into the orange candy melts, again allowing any excess to drip off. Be sure to leave an even space between the yellow and orange candy melts of plain Rice Krispies Treats to display the candy corn colors.

Step Six: Repeat with all slices of the Rice Krispies Treats. Allow to rest on parchment paper to harden for at least 10-minutes before serving, and enjoy!

How To Store Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats
These can be stored in an air-tight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
FAQ’s
Yes, you can use salted butter in this recipe.
You can use white candy melts and add 1-2 drops of yellow or orange food coloring to the bowls after melting.
This can be one of two things- either you cooked the marshmallow and butter mixture too long, or you pressed the Rice Krispies too hard into the pie pan to set.
The marshmallow and butter mixture just needs to be melted before moving onto the next step and should be removed from the heat as soon as its fully melted. When you press the Rice Krispies into the pie pans, you should put hardly any pressure. You want them to keep their shape without sacrificing a dense, hard, Rice Krispies treat!
Prepare the pie pans by spraying cooking spray, or rubbing vegetable oil or another neutral oil in the pan before pressing the Rice Krispies down into the pan to avoid sticking.

Candy Corn Rice Krispies
EQUIPMENT
- 2 9-inch pie pans
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 10 oz mini marshmallows
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups of yellow candy melts
- 2 cups of orange candy melts
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the butter to a large pot and melt over low heat until completely melted. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and incorporated with the butter. Turn off the heat, and add the vanilla extract and stir. Add 6 cups of cereal to the pot and stir until everything is mixed together. Set aside.
- Spray 2 9-inch pie pans with non stick cooking spray and divide the Rice Krispies evenly into both pans. Gently press the Rice Krispies into the pie pans so they are equal thickness across the entire pan, using oiled hands or the bottom of a cup.
- Place the pie pans in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the Rice Krispies Treats to set. After they have set, remove from the fridge. In two small microwave-safe bowls, add the yellow candy melts to one and the orange candy melts to the other bowl. Melt each color by microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until fully melted. Set aside.
- Prepare your counter or table by rolling out some parchment paper to avoid sticking. Carefully place the pie pans upside down, dumping the now circular Rice Krispies treats onto the parchment. If the pan is sticking to the Rice Krispies, carefully take a butter knife and drag around the perimeter of the pie pan to unstick the treats.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the Rice Krispies treats into 6 even slices, as if you were slicing a circular cake. This will be 3 cuts total, per pie pan.
- Dip the pointed end of each Rice Krispies Treat in the yellow candy melts and scrape off any excess with a fork. Turn the slice around and dip the opposite end of the yellow-dipped triangle into the orange melts, scraping off any excess candy melts once again. Be sure to not dip the orange and yellow sides too close together, as you want the “white” piece of the candy corn to be visible. Repeat with all the slices.
- Let harden on the parchment paper for at least 10 minutes before serving.
