Reuben Sliders are made with layers of corned beef, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut and topped off by brushing melted butter on the top bun! Slide these into the oven until the cheese gets gooey and the buns get golden brown and you’ve got yourself a St Patty’s Day meal that’s sure to impress!

I love these Reuben Sliders, which are super simple to make and even easier to share with a small crowd. They’re great for parties, game days, or a fun dinner option. Serve them hot with a side of pickles for an irresistible snack that packs all of the flavors of a traditional Reuben sandwich but in a mini, shareable form!
What Is A Reuben?
Although the origin of the Reuben sandwich is a toss-up between a small deli in New York City and a grocer in Omaha, Nebraska, the flavors pack the same punch. A Rueben is typically served on rye bread, followed by layers of corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand island or Russian dressing.
This classic American deli sandwich is crispy, melty, and delicious. Oftentimes served with a pickle, this sandwich can also be paired with a pile of french fries, a handful of potato chips, or on its own!
While Reuben’s aren’t exactly an Irish meal, they tend to be celebrated and eaten around St. Patrick’s Day due to the corned beef that’s inside. This is a great way to use up any leftover corned beef you have after making corned beef and cabbage!

Reuben Slider Ingredients
These sliders require only a handful of ingredients, but the quality of the ingredients you decide on can change the sandwich for the better!
- Slider buns– I use Hawaiian Rolls.
- Thousand Island dressing—Store-bought is fine, but you can make homemade if you want to go the extra mile.
- Swiss cheese– I go for a high-quality, deli-sliced Swiss cheese. I find that this makes the meltiest, most flavorful cheese versus a prepackaged kind.
- Corned Beef– Just like the cheese, I highly recommend getting your corned beef from the Deli. This way, you can get the corned beef sliced to whichever thickness you prefer, and it saves you the hassle of trying to slice corned beef in your own kitchen!
- Sauerkraut- Any brand should do, but be sure to drain it well and dry it with a paper towel so it doesn’t make your sliders soggy.
- Butter- We’ll melt this and brush it over the buns to create a nice golden color and a slight crisp when baked.
- Worcestershire Sauce- This combines with the butter and other seasonings to add to the flavor of your slider buns.
- Garlic Powder- This helps season the buns before they’re baked, but can be left out if you’d prefer.
- Everything But The Bagel Seasoning- This can be omitted from the recipe, but topping the slider buns with this packs a punch of flavor that compliments the Reuben sandwich PERFECTLY!
Variations And Substitutions
- I use Kings Hawaiian Rolls in this recipe, although a typical Reuben is served on rye bread. You can use any small slider buns for this recipe, and bonus points if you can find or make your own rye sliders!
- Russian dressing can be used in place of Thousand Island dressing.
- Instead of Swiss cheese slices, you can shred your own Swiss cheese and sprinkle it on top of and underneath the corned beef to create an even meltier, more cheesy sandwich.

How To Make Reuben Sliders
Step One: Slice the slider buns in half as evenly as possible and place the bottom half in a baking dish. Spread a layer of thousand island dressing across the buns.

Step Two: Add a layer of Swiss cheese over the Thousand Island dressing, followed by the sauerkraut.

Step Three: Top the sauerkraut with the corned beef, and then the final layer of Swiss Cheese, and the top of the buns.

Step Four: Melt the butter in a microwave-safe dish. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder to the melted butter, then brush across the top of the buns. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the top of the buns, then bake until golden.

How Do You Serve Reuben Sliders?
Reuben Sliders are great on their own, or enjoyed with french fries or potato chips. You can serve these with a bowl of soup, potato salad, coleslaw, or even a fresh garden salad. No matter how you enjoy these, be sure to add a pickle on the side!
How To Store Reuben Sliders
Store these sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They’re best served fresh and warm, and the longer they sit, the soggier they will become.
