Gumdrop Punch Ingredients

  • Sprite
  • Cherry 7-up
  • Rainbow sherbet
  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Gumdrops (for garnish)

Gumdrop Punch requires simple ingredients that can be found at most grocery stores, allowing anybody to make a tasty and fizzy drink for the holiday season! To make this punch, first pour your Sprite and Cherry 7-Up in a large punch bowl or drink dispenser, then top with spoonfuls of Rainbow Sherbet!

As you serve the punch, top each cup with a hearty pile of Whipped Cream and a handful of Gumdrop Candy! Before assembling, be sure to chill your soda so everybody can enjoy a cold and refreshing glass of Gumdrop Punch.

I prefer serving this punch in a punch bowl over a drink dispenser so everybody can get spoonfuls of rainbow sherbet in every cup!

Variations And Substitutions

  • Rainbow Sherbet- Any flavor of Sherbet can be used in this recipe! Feel free to use your favorite- whether it be orange, lime, or raspberry!
  • Sprite- Any lemon-lime flavor soda can be used in place of Sprite, so pick your favorite! Regular 7-Up, Starry, or generic brand does wonders!
  • Alcohol- For an adult version of this drink, top each cup with a hefty pour of white rum, vodka, or tequila before adding your garnishes!

How To Make Gumdrop Punch

Step One: Add scoops of Rainbow Sherbet to a large punch bowl or drink dispenser.

Step Two: Add the Cherry 7-Up and Sprite over the top of the Rainbow Sherbet.

Step Three: Serve in individual glasses and top with whipped cream, gumdrops, and a fun party straw!

How To Serve Gumdrop Punch

To serve this fun party drink out of a punch bowl, ladle individual servings into plastic or glass cups as needed. Be sure to get some Rainbow Sherbet into each cup!

Top the drink with a heaping pile of whipped cream and sprinkle some gumdrop candy over it.

Can I make this drink ahead of time?

I wouldn’t recommend making this punch ahead of time because the soda will become flat by the time you get to serve it. However, you can chill your Sprite and 7-Up beforehand to make the Gumdrop Punch more refreshing and chilled.

Can I store leftovers?

Yes, you can absolutely store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. However, the soda will fall flat, and the sherbet will melt if you store it. I recommend drinking this punch up right away for best results.
